Fast forwards 2 months, the crying behavior comes back with less intensity and mom did not reinforce the behavior, spontaneous recovery. Therefore, the crying stopped and only returned every so often and now the little girl does not cry when mom puts her to bed. Another way extinction can be looked at is when an employee is suspended from his job because of their constant cell phone use. This young man has been warned several times to not use his cell phone during his shift at work. In order to put this behavior on extinction, his employer decided to that the next time he was caught using his cell phone during his shift she was going to suspend him. Therefore, when she caught him using his cell phone again, she sent him home immediately and suspended him without pay for two days. This young man realized that he needs this job, so when he was allowed back to work, he did not use his cell phone. His boss successfully put his behavior on extinction.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
