Now, notice here, on a windows 10 system, however, that we don't have any startup applications listed on the Startup tab. As it notes here, we use the startup section of task manager, instead, to manage our startup programs. We are provided with a link right here that opens task manager, and goes right to the Startup tab. And here, we can click on each individual startup application, and then come down here and click disable to turn these off. One of the things I like about this interface over here is it lists the startup impact of each of these applications, whether it really impacts the system heavily, or whether it has little or no impact at all.Notice that this particular application is disabled currently, and will not be loaded when the system boots. If I wanted to enable it, I click enable button, and now it's turned on and will be loaded the next time the system boots. And remember, these changes we make here are not made effective right away. They'll be applied the next time you turn the system on. And that applies down here, in systemconfiguration, to the Services tab we just looked at a minute ago. If I were to turn windows audio off, it doesn't actually unload that service right now. Instead, windows audio will continue to stay in a running state until I reboot the system again. Only then will that service be disabled. The last tab we need to look at is the Tools tab. On the Tools tab, you can launch a variety of other system configuration utilities. For example, if I needed to view windows version information, I could click about windows, and then click launch. And when I do, I see version information. This is Windows 10, I am running build 1,240, I see that the product is currently licensed, and here's the name of the user that has licensed that product. So with that, let's go ahead and close the system configuration utility. Use DxDiag 5:49-8:00 Now the last utility we're going to look at in this demonstration is DxDiag. Now DxDiag has a slightly different function than the other utilities we've been looking at. DxDiag is a DirectX Diagnostic tool, and its job is to test the DirectX system on this computer. Now DirectX is a programming interface that is used for video and multimedia. DxDiag's job is to test the system's multimedia capabilities. Let's go down here in our search field and type in DxDiag, and we'll click DxDiag here in the search results. When we do, the system tab is displayed, and the system information tab tells us a little bit of information about the computer. It tells us the current date and time, the computer name, what operating system it's running, the manufacturer of the hardware, and its model number, it tells us about the processor, the amount of RAM installed, and it also tells us the version of DirectX running on this system. Let's go over to the display tab.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
