My hospital does not have aneurologist on site and when we have a patient with stroke like symptoms, we use tele monitor for a neurologist to assess the patient right away. This has been a very valuable resource for thosepatients. They normally make the decision to give or not give TPA to the patient. I think more
places should utilize this technology. Nursing informatics is a nursing specialty that combines nursing science and analytical science. (Laureate Education, 2018). When we consult these doctors, they can see all the patient’s medical records as well. I think this is a great example of combining resources to help the patients outcomes.
