There is only one religious sign that was observed here. The Resolved Church is located adjacent from the police department. Unknown what types of services they offer. It does not matter what day of the week it is or if it’s the weekend, this place appears to have little foot traffic. Very few people were witnessed going in and out of this place. Just about five blocks from here, there is a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Not sure about the services they offer but the place seems to be very crowded with people during the weekend. Although there’s not a lot of religious buildings or structures in this area, there’s a group of people that go around from door to door during the weekends, trying to pass the message of Jesus Christ. Some of them were either Christian or Jehovah’s recruiters. Business & Describe stores and shops available in the community, e.g., grocery 4465-4-19_
Industry stores, gas stations, department stores. What type of business climate exists? Manufactures? Light or heavy industry? Large employers? Small business owners? Retail? Hospitality industry? Do people have to seek employment elsewhere? Is this considered a “bedroom community”- where people work outside this community but live here ? Make sure you address fully what you observed and NOTE if something was not found within your community area. There is one strip mall that consists of small local retail shops, such as a donut and coffee shop, clothing and liquor store, massage parlor, nail salon and a few restaurants. There are two gas stations within a two blocks radius from each other. There is no department stores or grocery stores within this community. However, just a few miles east of Mission Valley, there is a Food for Less and Ralphs. Adjacent to these stores, there’s Fashion Valley Mall where you will find your department stores such as JC Penny, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Saks 5th Ave, just to name a few. There are no big companies, hospitality, manufactures or heavy industry businesses except a welding and fabrication warehouse and a few auto repair shops. Small business owners make up this community. You have your, “mom and pop” shops and a few small eatery retails. Mission Valley is considered a “bedroom community” where most of the people live here and work elsewhere. It is a nice community to live in, especially because it’s centrally located to everything. You’re fifteen minutes from downtown SD and ten minutes from the beach. Politics What indicators do you see about politics? Posters? Headquarters ? Make sure you address fully what you observed and NOTE if something was not found within your community area. There are no indicators of politics observed within this community. There are no posters, signs, billboards or headquarters here. People’s yards and home fronts are clean and well-maintained. There are plenty of trees, bushes and shrubs along roadways and parks. There is no dirt or trash seen on the streets.
