XI. Consult credible sources to answer the following questions. What do we know about safety of puberty blockers? Do you believe that puberty blockers may be helpful in giving children more time to decide their gender? a. Puberty blockers pauses puberty where it is. If they take their puberty blockers off, they will go through puberty as any normal person. It gives children more time to decide where they want to be in the future. Gives them anywhere from 2-4 years to decide. Relatively safe and reversible. These are NOT hormones. Once they start hormones, they will not be reversible. b. The biggest helpful, is that it gives teens the time to decide if they are truly committing because this is the time frame where it could be a phase. The suicide rate for trans teens is higher though. 50%+ have attempted or died by suicide. Other countries, like Samoa, Mexico, India, Philippines all have recognized third genders. Israel in the Jewish text has 6 genders. Western world is not accepting whereas the global perspective is more open

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
