Time Management Another essential ability in any aspect of life I seem to be lacking on is time management. Managing your time in any situation of life is fundamental in order to live successfully and easily. While I have trouble managing my time I have also taken measures in this weakness in order to enhance this unkempt skill. By making a daily and weekly to-do list, and writing the specific time and date I will accomplish each task allows me to manage my time better, while also completing my responsibilities. Budgeting In addition to my two previous weaknesses listed I also struggle in maintaining a successful budget. It is evident that a budget is critical in anything that requires money, yet I lack experience on the issue. A strong successful is central element in any business; the poor management of money irrefutably leads to business failure. While a career in public relations doesn’t demand the skill of managing money, it could still hinder me personally which is why I began making excel documents of my budget to track all of my personal finances.

8 Lack of Job Experience in Career Field I posses many skills that have molded me an excellent candidate for any job I choose to pursue, however, I lack job experience in the PR field which may be a deciding factor between me and my competition. Many college students lined up internship in their prospective careers allowing them to gain experience I do not have. While gaining an internship was a goal of mine it never worked out that I had enough free time to give my full devotion to a company. By pushing this office position I can try to make up for the actual lack of job experience. Opportunities The combination of my young age and my soon to be earned to degree awards me many new opportunities that previously weren’t available as a college student. As I embark into the real world after being immersed in a college lifestyle I am opening my life up to pivotal events, such as getting my first salary-paying job. Opportunities that are going to benefit me in my job search are the possible pursuit of further education, the increasing public relation job market, the freedom to move to whatever environment I find most fitting, and the growing demand for social media skills. Graduate School While going directly into the job market is a possibility, so is staying in school longer in order to attend graduate school. The National Center of Education Statistics estimated that in 2010, the median of earnings for young adults with a master's degree or higher was $54,700, about 21 percent more than the median for young adults with a bachelor's degree. Through earning a masters degree in public relations I could potentially secure a more rewarding, and higher paying job than I could by going directly into my job hunt after receiving my bachelor’s

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
