Left in Bb). Do not use Wikipedia, dictionary, or a website (points will be taken off). A really good way to discuss is using a main quote in each of three paragraphs then supported or argued with other sources and quotes. I am looking for ethical theory discussions not just three quotes in one paragraph. I am also NOT looking for a discussion on the topic of GMO’s, etc. The focus and quotes MUST be on ethical theory application. Video Discussions -Three Quotes minimum required (three different sources other than the video) from text, powerpoint or articles from the Cal Poly Pomona library website. When you quote make sure and list the page number or slide number or paragraph number in APA. Quotes should be on ethical theory NOT on the topic of GMO’s, etc. Book Discussions -When discussing the book you need the book and two more sources. Use “Google Scholarly” or the “Library Database” for additional sources (See Library Research Tab on the Left in Bb). Do not use Wikipedia, dictionary, or a website (points will be taken off). When you quote make sure and list the page number or slide number or paragraph number in APA (you must have a minimum of three quotes from different sources). PAPER Writing Guidelines- See Rubric APA Format on left Tab in Bb: See Rubric on left Tab in Bb for writing requirements. You will be assigned a total of 3 out-of- class papers. You are required to turn in your papers by the date/time listed in the Paper Drop Box tab thru turnitin. You will be able to see your percentage of plagiarism. If you submit early 2

and it is over 30% you may resubmit your paper in the same box by the original due date (you will only have two total submissions per paper). VERY Important---- If you are over 30% but it is mainly quotes I will allow slighty over 30% originality (but it should not be much higher than 30%). Plagiarism will be penalized with a 0 on the paper. Plagiarism includes copying and pasting from another source, yourself or student paper as well as turning in another student's paper that has been turned in before. This is why you need to review the APA book so that you cite correctly. You will be turning in your papers through turnitin.com if you are over 30% it is likely that you have plagiarized.
