Definition of Terms
 Adjudicate – to make an official decision about who is right (especially during
dispute or argument).
 Appoint – one official’s power to choose helping officials for substitution or
multi-tasking (for example, if there is an absence of official on the event).

 Disqualification – an action given to a player who acted differently in the given

Introduction
Swimming in recreation and sports is the propulsion of the body through water by combined
arm and leg motions and the natural flotation of the body. Swimming as an exercise is popular because
it is an all-around body developer and is particularly useful in therapy specifically for physically
handicapped persons.
