responsible for damages seen in the U.S. concerning droughts and sea levels rising. Low-lying nations like Bangladesh could disappear due to climate change and the refugees of those nations will have nowhere to go if something is not done to stop the rising temperatures around the world. Problems with the Paris climate change deal is that it is not legally binding and even though plans are being implemented starting now, the plan is set to go in effect until 2020. Global temperatures have increased almost 2 degrees since 1880, and I believe that fossil fuel emissions have only increased since then. The Paris deal promoted that already developed countries like the United States and Europe will provide good amounts of money to developing nations to curb them towards the Paris deal. The fact that big oil companies get a 5,800% return on every dollar spent on congress means that “Big Oil” spent almost $347 million between 2009 and 2010 for campaign contributions and lobbying congress and then received $20 billion back in subsidies. Fossil fuels are present in almost everyone’s daily lives that is not involved in electricity and commuting. People burn fossil fuels mowing their lawn or cooking dinner. Amendment 1 was recently passed in the State of Florida and involves the right for Florida citizens to produce and own their own solar panels and produce solar energy without the fear of being overcharged by big electric companies for their use of solar equipment. I think for the reason it was created that it is a good, and I think that we should vote yes in support of Amendment 1.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
