role. Thinking of my D side, I make sure there is order and everyone has a plan of what they're supposed to do. I do try to be a role model of sorts since I believe myself to be in a position of power. The therapists can come to me if they need help with implementing certain programs or if
DISC PERSONALITY TESTthey are lacking materials for their success. My Dominance personality is definitely mixed with my Influence personality however. With my current role, one of the things I have focused on is team morale and the workplace environment. This is my first employment role where I have direct influence over the culture in the workplace in over 12 years of being in the workforce. I value the opinions my peers have of me and I have personally been involved in the training and success of new therapists which I thoroughly enjoy. I like sharing knowledge and value (and like) when people seek me for help. Role in a School SettingIn the school setting, as a future BCBA, I could see how both of the personalities could have a positive impact but the I personality would likely work the best since school’s are a large organism. A school is made up of a lot of different roles and departments that work together to help everything come together. With the I personality, I would care about creating a positive environment where kids would want to get the help that I am there to provide. I would value the opinions of the educators and administrators and work on winning them over so that they continue to trust me with such an important job which at the end of the day is making sure the kids benefit. My D personality would be beneficial for a lot of the logistics of the job. It would help me create goals and get together with my coworkers to create the best plan for individual students. It would help emphasize task completion and timelines/deadlines. Overall, there would be great benefit to both of these styles in the school setting.
