Compensation Structure As an employer in a tight employment market, a job based compensation structure is more than likely going to be the best option for the projected 25 employees. This type of pay structure “typically contrasts a skill-based structure in that you are paid based on the responsibilities of a position rather than your personal skills” (Kokemuller, 2015). This will give each employee a clear picture of the pay scales for all of the positions within the company. One of the biggest advantages to this type of pay structure is it helps in preventing against gender discrimination by ensuring men and women receive equal pay for doing the same job. In a job based structure, an employee can see by promoting or moving to a different position of the company they can make more money solely based on the position itself. Finally, an employee can compare their pay to other companies using a job based compensation structure can have a significant impact on job turnover. Whether or not you can hire and retain quality employees will depend on each of these elements of this structure (Kokemuller, 2015). COMPENSATION AND BENIFITS STRATAGIES RECOMMENDATIONS 4 companies in this area typically do not have retirement or 401k savings options due to the part time nature of employees. The company could provide discount gym memberships, food reimbursement during work hours up to fifteen dollars per eight hours worked. The company could provide complimentary use of limousines and the employee would only be responsible for paying for the driver time. This would be subject to availability of both the cars and the drivers.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
