However, it is widely perceived that the role of physicians is to cure while that of nurses is to care. Physicians play a significant role in the professional development of a nurse as they subject them to diverse medical practices and experience as they work hand in hand. Notes: Despite the stereotype that terms nurses as inferior to physicians, their collaboration in delivery of healthcare services is crucial. I t is also imperative to state that nurses and physicians go through different professional training processes. However, their professional services are inter-dependent. Therefore, a graduate nurse requires the professional guidance and ideas from physicians to build their medical exposure and ability to come up with new innovations on patient care and cost-efficient processes. Furthermore, inter-professional interaction can lead to the alleviation of the negative stereotype while contributing to mutuality in career advancement.
