The theatrical elements that Don added to the stage were the “balcony” using the ladder, the “mist from the mountain” using the fog machine, the backdrop of a “beautiful sunset”, colored lights to symbolize stardust and the lighting of a garden, with another light to symbolize that of the moon, and a fan that represented “ a soft summer breeze”. Don was going to sing to Kathy and made it really all the more romantic. The element that I think had the biggest impact was all of the lights that he used, the lighting created a warm and endearing mood, and it focused all the attention on Don and Kathy. 4.If you were casting for the role of Don, what characteristics would the actor need to have? How well do you think this role was cast in the film? Why?
