AtonementPenalSubstitutionary2 Cor.5:21NoneIn certain Hindu groups there is a similar emphasis on God's grace (probably as a result of pastChristian influence). The first example is with regards to God, Hindus see God as anunending process through each life that causes men to receive judgment orrewards according to good or evil deeds committed in their previous life, IanBenson (1998:15).The second example is that of sin, the Bible teaches that every man is sinfulby nature and has no potential to do good. But according to Hindus, manhas the ability to do good out of his own if he follows the spiritual rules asprescribed. When he fails to follow the set of rules, it means that he hassinned and to reverse the process he must do a good deed. This is the verycore of sin; you must be reborn to get a new nature to not rely on works, IanBenson (1998:16).
