2.RPA2 initiator group: RPA2 HBAs only. The third, RPA Cluster initiator group is covered in a separate slide.Masking should be done using SMC or Solutions Enabler. This slide shows an example ofcreating an initiator group for RPA1 using Solutions Enabler.Command syntax:#symaccesssid <Symmetrix S/N> createname <name> -typeinitiator -wwn <RPA port 0 WWN>#symaccesssid <Symmetrix S/N> addname <name>-typeinitiatorwwn <RPA port 1-3 WWN>Module 3: RecoverPoint/EX and CL Installation31

RP Cluster initiator group: RPA1 initiator group (as a child initiator group), RPA2 initiatorgroup (as a child initiator group) and RPAs 3 to 8 HBA WWNs (if applicable). This initiatorgroup requires the new write by-pass flag be enabled. This allows RPAs to write to the replicavolumes (target devices). It is critical that only RPA ports be placed in these Initiator Groups.Module 3: RecoverPoint/EX and CL Installation33

There mustbe one exclusive masking view for RPA1, another for RPA2, and another one for theRecoverPoint cluster. This allows for making the distinction of which volumes each RPA canaccess. Remember that RPA1 sees eight (8) unique gatekeepers, RPA2 another eight (8)unique gatekeepers, and the RecoverPoint cluster accesses all volumes, including repository, journal, production and replica volumes.Masking should be done using SMC or Solutions Enabler. This slide shows an example ofcreating masking views using Solutions Enabler.Command syntax:#symaccesssid <Symmetrix S/N> create viewname <name>-pg<port group> -sg <storage group> -ig <initiator group>Module 3: RecoverPoint/EX and CL Installation35

All rights reservedTo finish the LUN Masking, add RPA access to production and replica LUNs, using one of thefollowing two options:1.Add all RPA initiator groups to the initiator group of every host accessing LUNs protectedby RecoverPoint, or2.For each host masking view, create a mirroring RPA masking view using the same hoststorage group, host port group and RP cluster initiator group.
