Summer review assignment is worth 15 points and cannot be replaced. NO MAKE-UP MIDTERMS OR FINAL WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON. You must take at least one midterm and the final to pass the class. If you miss a midterm, for any reason (sick, sports event, funeral, wedding, etc.), your final exam will count for ~57% of your grade. Note: The average on the final is typically lower than the average on the midterms. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES TO MISS THE FINAL If you take both midterms and score higher on the final than one of the midterms, your final will count for ~57% of your grade. Quiz, Midterm, and Final Guidelines All quizzes will be multiple choice. The midterms and final will be a combination of short answer and multiple choice. Calculators are permitted. You will get an exam information page that contains periodic table, constants, unit conversions, and equations. You must bring your student I.D. to the final. If your cell phone rings during the exam you will receive a 0. If you touch or look at your cell phone during the exam you will receive a 0. Do not sit next to friends during the exams. Portable music players are NOT allowed during the exams For the midterms, if you want a regrade you have 72 hours (from the time the midterm is returned) to turn your exam along with a regrade request form (on website) to Dr. Feldwinn or give it to the receptionist in the chemistry office (Trailer 232) and ask them to put it in her mailbox. When midterms are regraded the entire midterm will be regraded; therefore, you could both gain and lose points. Bring a ParScore form to the quizzes, midterms, and final. ParScore forms can be purchased from the bookstore near the chemistry books. If you have to get a ParScore form from me you will lost 1 point on the exam.
