The study of history has an impact that reaches far beyond the walls of the college or university. What is known about the past and
how it is interpreted in the present often influence views on politics, religion, and national identity. When bringing their work to the
public, historians must do so responsibly. In other words, recognizing their social responsibilities is an important part of the historian’s
code of ethics. With this in mind, students wishing to earn up to 10 extra credit points on Exam #3 should complete the following short
