In that regard, most manufacturing companies such as the Fabricators and the CNC shops have heavily invested in the latest CAD technologies to speed up their sales. Besides, with the help of CAD technology, they are able to train their staff so as to equip them with the right skills set for the market. As such, they are able to train people with the right skills thus gain a strong edge over their competition. Nonetheless, companies that use the CAD design technology are in a better position to offer valuable service in engineering design for manufacturing assembly. 6 Comparatively, the uses of 3D modelling for manufacturing designs are aimed at demonstrating engineering solutions as well as provide forms, usage, and aesthetics of products that are vivid and are based on a real-life three-dimensional prototype. Moreover, many field engineers use the technology in order to create 3D models, which help them to understand the view of the object: dimensions or shapes. It also opens up different viewpoints that improve the understanding to a greater degree. The use of the 3D models also simplifies this task a lot. Explain how 3D models can be used in the design process In the current digital platform, the use of the 3D CAD models has offered a rapid transition to the manufacturers who are able to come up with better designs for their products. This has helped increase the demand for building materials. In addition, the use of the 3D modelling provides a mathematical framework which is useful in establishing a 3 D object that is applicable in building various structural software as well as the use of the advanced CAD techniques. Usually, there are rapid prototypes for the customers, designers as well as engineers. This is, however, predetermined by some of the latest 3D modelling tools. This enhances the visualization as well as communication. Similarly the CAD program is also considered as a useful tool for communicating ideas. Hence, since we live in a 3D world, the model is applied in visualizing objects in which a natural 3 D image model is used in communicating based on a 2D technical drawing. In using the 3 D model, the designers look at three to four views of a design and mentally combine them so as to visualize a particular design that will resemble a 3D model.
