primary career goal of my life has been to be a teacher, I have changed goals and tracks multiple times. Throughout life, expectations may set you on one track that you may feel to follow throughout your life. As a young child, it tends to be something simple as doing the right thing, where in the future it may be going to your parent’s alma mater or going into the family business or profession. For me, I was expected to go into some type of stable job such as my dad as a materials manager for a large food processing industry, or a stable school job as my mom’s culinary background. For me, I started out on one of those tracks myself, until I realized the interest I had in criminal investigation, and I began a new track of my own blazing. Once again, later down the line, I had changed my track to that of an English teacher and where I am today. Throughout this original ambition of mine I had decided to make my own track with more and more aspirations to continue being great at what I love to do, even going so far as to discuss with myself the possibility of being a professional author and working in English traditionally. This and so much more can show a young impressionable mind that expectation and ambition do not have to rule your life, that ambitions can change directions, and that expectations aren’t the most important thing, as long as they are your expectations.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
