What Role do Grace and Faith play in Christian Salvation?
Salvation is a gift from God’s free grace received by faith (Lecture 5). Ephesians 2:8 says, “by grace you have been saved through faith; and not by yourselves, it is a gift of God”. How do Christians think the Transformation of Self and Society Happens? According to Romans 12:2 it says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by renewing your mind”. You cannot transform yourself to be that image of God but can put it into action. “Present your bodies as a living holy sacrifice and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship” (Romans 12:1). Analysis In this area you will analyze the Christian Worldview by answering the following questions under each of these subheadings. What are the benefits and strengths of the Christian belief? Christians believe that they have a strong connection with God. Believing that God has a plan for all who believe in him. Christians that believe in God have acceptance into heave, whereas the nonbelievers don’t have acceptance. What is troublesome or confusing about Christianity? Understanding the bible can be confusing. There are many versions and forms. Believing is not seeing and seeing is not believing, so not knowing how to get into heaven can be concerning. How does Christianity influence a person’s thinking and behavior? People behave by what they believe. “God’s workmanship, created in Christ to do good works” (Ephesians 2:10), that behavior glorifies God. Behaving in ways that please God.
