I use my work pc to do myhomework on a regular basis. If someone is using a work tool to conduct personalbusiness, then I feel that, with justification, a person may give up their right to privacy aswell as the company's right to privacy because they are using business tools or spacefor personal use. This is a risk that businesses take when employing others and givingthem use of space and tools.WendiRE: W1, Olson, D1Tiffany Ware10/31/2016 8:15:45 PMWendi,From my understanding, the 4thAmendment does not dis⏌?nguish between a workplace or anybusiness. It protects individuals (US ci⏌?zens) from state ac⏌?on which is in this case thegovernment. The workplace is not a person’s castle but his personal papers and effects are hisbelongings and the search of these items is protected by the 4thAmendment. The 4thamendment seems to be very tricky in how it actually protect you.RE: W1, Olson, D1Jordan Santana10/31/2016 9:41:07 PMGreetings Wendi,I really like how you used the fourth amendment and clearly demonstrated both it's purpose andprovided an excellent example of how it might be used in modern practice. I couldn't imagine an employee sitting next to me havingtheir business computers taken away by a higher authority due to possible criminal deviancy.Great post and i look forward to reading more
