Each team member’s organization seemed to have the same fiscal policy idea. This being that money was used to better the organization, whether it is financially, publicly, or personally. BACA uses their funds to help others in need, a mom uses their funds to survive and the band uses their funds for remodeling, saving, traveling, new equipment and so on. Understanding the fiscal policy for any organization is important if they plan to reach any goals or direction of progression that they planned for from the beginning. Competition Competition is what fuels the business world include this teams six diverse organizations. Each organization is involved in competition in one fashion or another. Competition is used to find the best employees from job candidates or invoke the best out of their employees. With other organizations vying for the same customers, they need to stay ahead of the competition in

terms of customer service, competitive pricing, quality, or technology. Competition is healthy and is only meant to weed out the best from the rest. With the Department of Corrections, a state organization, competition begins with candidates who compete with one another through testing in order to be appointed to a job. In charitable organizations competition is hard to recognize. The competition is usually for attention, recognition, or for leadership roles that will guide the organization’s future. Competition, with other organization, is the battle to see which is worthy to be called the best. Economy The economy plays such a vital role in the decisions of organizations and households. When the economy is doing well, the potential for growth and prosperity is great. When the economy is struggling, numbers are not favorable, sales go down, and salaries become stagnant or are cut, and jobs are lost. Companies downsize and households adjust their budgets to adapt to the lagging economy. Because economy forces are unpredictable, decisions need to be made quickly. When an organization faces a budget crisis employees are usually the ones to pay the price. State employees take salary cuts, or unpaid furlough days. Charitable organizations must do more with less because of fewer donations and fewer participants attending fundraisers. The consensus for all these organizations is that hard times equal hard decisions, and no one is exempt when economic times are tough.

Globalization Globalization may not always be on the agenda for all organizations. Some small organizations look into globalization, where some larger organizations do not. It usually would come from the mission statements whether or not globalization is a goal for this organization. There are many benefits to globalization of an organization, this being that it opens doors of opportunity that are only possible from being a worldwide organization. Places like McDonald’s and UPS did not get where they are today for only being in America. It is a pretty risky move,
