Scientific method as a scientifically oriented method is an element of mental development that
represents a given fraction of the world in a more simplified form . Application of variable
measurements is among the vital items used to show how and concepts behind changes from one
case to the other.This is not applicable to the critical and interpretive methods of studying
sociology.
In an interpretive method of Sociology, human beings do not just act as reflected in the
Scientific method but they involve themselves in meaningful action .This has been proven by
some Sociologists like Max Weber, who strongly argued that the center of sociology is
interpretation. Interpretive sociologists involve people who share in the world of meaning and
later on appreciating their actions, this implies that they don't just observe and record what
people do as much practiced in Scientific method.
Critical Sociology which was founded by Karl Marx on the other hand majorly emphasizes on
the usefulness of change, therefore, critical Sociology refers to the general study of the society
with the focus on the need for social change. This method as well differs with the scientific
method of view which concludes that the society at large is a natural system with static order.
