Five elements in the business environment The core elements of a business environment include a) Economic environment The economic business environment encompasses the income level at national level, gross domestic products and the per capita level, productivity as well as employment rate, profit earning rate, industrial monetary along with the government fiscal policy among others. These economic factors have a direct and immediate impact on the business thus making it imperative that they assess them and take timely actions to address these factors (Harrison, 2013). Some aspects of this environment include the role played by private and public sectors, the investments and saving rates as well as the balance of trade. b) The social environment The social environment encompasses of the traditions and customs of the society in relation to the business location. It encompasses the standards of living, level of education of the society residents, the taste and preferences of the society. Businesses have to look at these factors as although they do not impact the business immediately, they can impact it in the long run.
