Starbucks Strengths and Weaknesses One of the largest strengths that I see is their wording and understanding. They are very clear and direct about their goals, and what they want to provide to their customers. The problem that companies run into is message becomes too confusing and the reader loses interest. The next big strength that stands out is their attention to compliance. A company cannot instill a code of ethics without having a plan of compliance, a method of governing. They even created a hotline to ensure ethics continue to be regulated. Their mission statement, though considerate of the community, does not carry motivation and drive toward business success. Now, that brings me to the environmental mission statement that was written completely different. It is bold and gets attention of potential investors. Starbucks really does not carry many flaws in their code of ethics. It is detailed, strong, and easy to understand. Even though there are so many pages of material to cover it is clearly defined in the sections under the table of contents. The way they display it on their website show pride in their views and show a lack of secrecy saying that they have nothing to hide.
