In-Class Assignment 9/22/16 4 2b. How is it different from routine management planning? Routine management planning encompasses the day to day tasks of running a business while contingency planning is solely meant for handling emergencies. Despite both being handled and created by the managers, the contingency plans may never be executed if no threatening events occur. 2c. What are the components of contingency planning? Contingency Plans Consist of Incident Response Planning (IRP), Disaster Recovery Planning(DRP), and Business Continuity Planning (BCP). (pg. 80) According to Covey(2012) an IRPs, “...focuses on immediate response, but is the attack escalates or or is disastrous, the process moves on to disaster recovery and the BC plan.”, DRPs, “...focuses on restoring systems are the original site after disasters occur, and so is closely associated with the BCP”, and BCPs, “...occurs concurrently with the DRP when the damage is major or ongoing, and requires more than simple restoration of information and information resources.” (pg. 80-81)

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
