Relativity of Captain America & Iron man His roots go deep into World War II, at the country’s fever pitch of nationalistic zeal; the cover of his first comic book appearance in 1941 featured him fearlessly firing a good old-fashioned American right hook to the chin of the Führer himself. Captain America is our square-jawed, fearless champion of all that we hope we are, sometimes against substantial evidence to the contrary. Captain America is the epitome an American fighting for the rightful benefits of his country and doing anything in his power to avert disaster. When it comes to capitalism, no superhero embodies its ideals like Tony Stark. And we've seen how patriotic Tony can be when it comes to his work as an arms manufacturer. After all, when we first met him in the first scenes of “Iron man” he was preparing to sell his latest inventions to the U.S. military

Who wins and is more patriotic In my opinion Captain America wins because he represents Lincolnian patriotism, which places an emphasis on a commitment to American ideals and the duty one has in upholding them. Another reason as to why Captain is more patriotic is because he has been in war and has sacrificed for his country whereas, Iron Man hasn't done anything like that. Iron Man, in contrast, represents the dominant tradition, which is centered on the narrowly self- interested individual and a belief in the benefits of technological advancement.

Why does Iron Man lose? Iron Man represents the dominant tradition, which is centered on the narrowly self- interested individual and a belief in the benefits of technological advancement. This shows that he puts himself above others which is quite literally the opposite of patriotism . This Photo by Unknown author is licensed under CC BY-ND .
