Last name 3 great use of President Obama’s religious openness to deny the stereotype that Democrats will never be as open as Republicans when it comes to religion. The only glimmer of hope seen in the entire documentary using pathos was when Merchant showed footage of Bono because he was one of the only normal Christians demonstrated in the film, but it’s not a social norm, it’s a spiritual normal. Bono understands God’s real message, which is to help people. This can best be exemplified when Bono states, “stop asking God to bless what you’re doing, get involved in what God is doing, it is already blessed” (Merchant 00:69:00). While Bono was the best example shown of what most normal Christians are like, Merchant showcased a couple of other normal Christians as well which
