According to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinelarticle, "wellness plans cutfirms’ healthcare costs." You’re intrigued, but everything you readseems to point to the advantages of these plans. Surely there must bedisadvantages as well. So, you decide to investigate the advantagesanddisadvantages of wellness plans. It might help to get a sense ofhow rank and file employees feel about these plans as well as
reviewing the published materials. Do the advantages really outweighthe disadvantages?6. You run a small business, and you’ve been hearing a lot about theimportance of "personalized customer service." You’re not sure whatthis means, or whether it will increase your business, but you want tofind out more. First, what is personalized customer service? How doother businesses provide this? How have other businesses profitedfrom this? Are there hidden costs? In a nutshell, is it worth it?7. As a manager for mid-sized company, you’re convinced that a Webpresence is a must in today’s economy. You’ve talked to your CEOabout it, but you haven’t made much headway. He says: "Show mesome proof!" He also says, "If you can show me on paper that thebenefits will outweigh the costs, I’ll consider it." Write an objectivereport that considers carefully the costs and benefits of having a full-time Web presence. Consider things like how a Web presence willaffect productivity and costs, human resource management, training,purchasing, sales, and the way the company does business. Offerrecommendations.
