Newspersons: Their accounts are extremely sensationalised to create a stir in their audiences. For the theatre audience, they are meant to not only be angered by them but also question their own lives and how they perceive the media and what the media tells them. Kaufman tries to show the audience that Verbatim is much more respectful and honest than any other style of theatre or media. Speaking over others : By doing this, it shows the cacophony of voices which creates a very theatrical scene of people fighting to be heard. Moment: Medical Update Statement by the Sheppard’s: “We also have a special request for the members of the media. We ask that you respect our privacy” – Kaufman conducted his interviews at a time where the media died down and that people had time to reflect. Kaufman and the MTTC did their jobs with great respect rather than bombarding the emotional people of Laramie. Again the media is the enemy. Moment: Seeing Matthew Rob Debree:”As a homicide detective, you look at bodies. This poor boy was sitting there, fighting for his life ” – This imagery should send a great emotional response in the audience. I literally cannot be bothered to do any more of this. I think I have enough (more than enough) examples to use in essays. I also have much more evidence in the sheets which you gave me. The following scenes in Laramie become extremely theatrical but I know them very well and I have more information on them than of any other play. I just wanted to collect my ideas and quotes so when I want to write an essay, I can just refer back to this and memorise a handful of quotes. Feel free to give this to the rest of the class. I hope it is useful (along with the CAT quote/annotations).

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
