Care Standards Act 2000 The Act administers various care institutions across some nations (UK for instance) which includes independent hospitals, residential care homes, nursing homes, as well as, children homes. Its main aim is to reform rules associated with the regulation and inspection of numerous care institutions. Agency practices and policies influencing healthcare in home care setting Cameron (2016) asserts that this entails relevant and current practices including mutual statutory methods, private and voluntary working activities, local, regional, and national service planning policies, risk assessment procedures, and employee practices among others. Some of the agency practices and policies include: 1. Processes and systems normally employed in organizations including social and health care risk assessment 2. Processes relating to service planning that fostered agreements among local authorities in social and health care provision. For instance, mental health teams, and adult protection boards.
