Having an abortion promotes a culture that the life of humans are disposable (Abortion ProCon.org. (n.d.). This sends a message to those watching that human life has no value (Abortion ProCon.org. (n.d.). It is horrible to think and see that there are children who are victims of abortions who never get to see what life is about (Abortion ProCon.org. (n.d.). In 2014, House Representative Randy Hultgren wrote, “When we tell one another that abortion is okay, we reinforce the idea that human lives are disposable, that we can throw away anything or anyone that inconveniences us (Abortion ProCon.org. (n.d.).” Conclusion As with most ethical issues, it is of course impossible to say that one side is categorically right and the other is not when it comes to partial birth abortions. What we can do, however, is isolate and identify the defining arguments of each side. I have chosen the side of making partial birth abortion in illegal for all of the many reasons I have discussed in this research paper. The key arguments against partial-birth abortion are the nature of the procedure itself. The fact that a fetus has its brains sucked from its head and the late stage at which it is performed. All the other arguments are essentially ones which can be applied to any form of abortion. In conclusion, abortion is a highly hostile matter that should not be taken lightly. From my research, I hope that people will understand the health risk that comes with getting the procedure done, especially so far ahead in a pregnancy term. Most people do not realize that the unborn child can also feel pain, which makes the situation more heartbreaking. Very few women and families regret carrying out a pregnancy. Those who regret carrying out a pregnancy have the

However, over fifty percent of women have compunctions concerning their decision to terminate a pregnancy. Even those who contend that a fetus is not a person must at the very least admit that a fetus is human life and is a potential human being. In the very early stages on conception, the unborn fetus has a heartbeat and once that heart beat exist, so does human life. When an abortion occurs, that human life, however small, is eliminated. This is a biological fact, not a moral judgment. Obviously, there are an astronomical number of reasons why people feel so strongly about the issue of abortion, most of them valid. These reasons ranging from specific to general and personal to universal are based on a variety of life experiences and circumstances. Due to vast differences in the general nature of people, social and religious backgrounds, moral authorities, views of humanity, economic situations and biological interpretations, a constant conflict ensues regarding abortion. This conflict is a permanent one and will endure as long as children are born into the world.
