judgement when I was at each college. I also did the same thing when I went to Murray State after WKU. I kept comparing everything that was at Murray to what was at WKU. 9. Belief Perseverance When I first started my college search back at the end of my junior year, I had a hard time getting past my preconceived idea of college. I grew up watching movies about what college was like. Hollywood makes college look like it’s all fun and games and all people do is go out to party. College is nothing like the movies, when I went to visit universities over this past summer I was immediately discredited. I didn’t want to believe that college wasn’t like the movie and I’m not going to lie I still want to go to Barden University to this day. I know that Barden isn’t real and college isn’t all sunshine and rainbows but I want it to be. While I was walking around the three universities that I visited, I was thinking about the movies that I’ve watched about college and I thought if this college lived up to that expectation. Now that didn’t really work for me and it took me awhile to get over that idea of college and to become more realistic. 10. Did you make any “compensations” when choosing schools Whenever I was making the final decision between two schools it was very hard. I loved both schools equally for different reasons and so I had to pick what was more important to me for the college that I was going to attend for the next four years. When I went to Murray State on a visit I fell in love with the campus and I felt like I was at home there, they didn’t have the best program’s in the state and it was in the middle of nowhere. When I went to EKU I liked the campus, the had really good programs for what I want to major in, and I knew that it was close to Lexington. I chose to go to EKU but I had to give up they homie feeling that Murray State gave me. I had to give up my love for Murray because it was so far away and I know that I would get homesick all the time if i went to Murray. EKU was definitely the better option for me in the long run. I made a pros and cons list for bothe Murray and EKU. EKU had more pros than it did cons and that’s how I made my final choice on where I am going to college.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
