It is their leadership and visionary skills that propel institutions and their employees to greatness. Of special importance in your post, was the fact that effective communication is vital in order to properly share a vision with stakeholders. You have also provided a comprehensive definition of what strategic management represents to an institution. This all-inclusive tactic may set the stage for having a competitive edge over enterprises that offer competing facilities (Huber, 2010). Utilizing strategic management, allows me nursing leaders to understand the needs of the community they serve and set achievable goals to determine the future needs of the community. Felix Otunaiye 4 posts Topic 2 DQ 2 Being a nurse leader, is very important to me, that new programs need to be developed in the hospitals to reach facility goals such as patient satisfaction and full reimbursements. The writer will propose to the hospital to implement an outreach program, which will benefit the needy members of the community. Effective communication will be the elementary key to share writer’s vision with the stakeholder. The more effectively the writer communicates with the stakeholders, more trust will be built among the stakeholders and high chances that stakeholders will accept to implement an outreach program. According to Huber (2014), communication is, “critical and important tool for effectiveness in engaging and motivating people and in getting work done through other.” The writer will use verbal communication methodology in the form of a written presentation to communicate the writer’s vision of the implementing program. During the presentation, the writer will use non-verbal communication methodologies such as smiling, making eye contact with stakeholders, and facing the stakeholders instead of my back toward them. The writer will also use the persuasion communication strategy to pursue stakeholders to implement an outreach program by providing facts that outreach program will lead to less re-hospitalization, which means full reimbursement to facility, which in turn will lead to more finances to facility, greater patient satisfaction, and greater reputation for the facility. According to Huber (2014), strategic management includes “conducting an environment scan, knowing the competition, establishing goals, setting targets, developing an action plan, implementing the plan and evaluating success.” The writer will use a strategic management to make a vision of an outreach program a reality.
