Human Capital Committee - to identify and develop skilful human resources to meet demands of software companies in Monterrey. The committee worked with universities and companies to design in-demand skills profiles, organize training activities to meet these needs, and identify sources of funding. Entrepreneurship and Innovation Committee - to promote innovation in products and services that offered competitive advantages and higher profits to the software industries in Nuevo Leon. The committee supported research and development efforts, knowledge exchange, and innovation best practices by connecting local companies, entrepreneurs, and foreign companies through workshops and classes. Csoftmty is successful in its activities because since the council was created, Nuevo Leon had an increase in the number of engineers from 2,000 to more than 14,000. Besides, the IT sector gained more than 3,000 jobs between 2003 and 2013. Another indicator that showed the success of Csoftmty is it represented more than 230 industry organizations where 10 years earlier it only represented about 100 members. Also, in 2014, Csoftmty participated in the external benchmarking assessment conducted by ESCA (the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis) along with other Mexican IT cluster organizations and it earned Bronze Label. Since then, Csoftmty is looking forward to be recognized as Silver Label by implementing recommendations which included incorporating more academic representatives and companies investing in R&D. 5 | P a g e

Question 3 : Why does Naranya engage in Csoftmty? Should they? Are they doing the right way? More than 400 IT companies were established in Monterrey including leading multinational companies such as Accenture, ACS, BSD, Epicor, Infosys and IBM and Mexican IT conglomerats HITSS, Neoris, Softek and World Software Services. Companies varied in size and nature larger, more established companies provided IT support services and business process solution to U.S companies and domestic clients, while newer medium-size companies like Naranya and Diversa develop their own software products and branding for the U.S and emerging markets. Council for the Development of the Software Industry (Csoftmty), it was the IT cluster initiative in Monterrey, an example of the dynamics at play in the evolution of the Monterrey cluster program. Csoftmty seeks to turn the city of Monterrey in Nuevo León state into the country's main digital transformation hub. To achieve this goal, Csoftmty is pushing strategies to develop skilled talent and liaising with companies and other clusters to identify their technology needs and address them. Naranya engages in IT cluster in 2013. According to Galvan Artura, “ I wanted to help the IT cluster or Csoftmty, evolve from being an IT cluster in Monterrey” CEO Galvan seen Csoftmty as the big companies. They were doing the right thing to be engaged with Csoftmty. Csoftmyt create opportunities and support for companies in the IT cluster to the business that could grow, generate jobs and become productive in the global economy. Csoftmty´s vision was aligned from what they wanted initially; become leading global IT cluster and the fastest growing economic sector of Nuevo Leon.
