honesty and integrity. A leader must lead by example, and act with honesty, integrity, and fairness at all times. The bible tells us, “if your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly” (Romans 12:8 NLT). NARCISSISTIC LEADER V. COVENANT LEADER Christmas 10 suddenly fall” (Proverbs 28:18). We should love each other as God loves us. By treating one another fairly, or how we expect to be treated, we are pleasing God. Challenges associated with organizations that are replete with corruption like racism and discrimination are low morale, increased misconduct, and failed community relations. Developing covenant principles can reshape an organization to me more effective than before. It increases communication, a much- needed aspect of community relations. Departments should develop a covenant amongst each other as well as with the communities they serve. Leaders must change their approach. The bible states that, “a great person in the kingdom is one who serves himself instead of being served and gives his life as a payoff for many” (Matthew 20:26-28 NIV). Being selfless and striving to build up those followers that inspire to be leaders one day, is a reward within itself. Conclusion Great leaders are not made over night. The great leaders…in this country are, first of all, the ones who have a great passion for the industry and they learn and are committed to it tremendously” (Brownlee, Bricker, Schwab, and Dustin, 2019). It takes time, training, failure, success, and most importantly fellowship with God. No two leaders have the same methods of efficiency, what works for one may not necessarily work for another. Narcissistic leaders are those individuals who seek to be the center of attention, are very self-righteous, and will try to attain their goals by any means necessary. They can be an asset when they are goal driven, if they are able to control their impulses. When their impulses are uncontrolled, everything tends to crash and burn. The covenant leader is also goal driven, but the goal is not of personal gain; it is for the gain of the organization as a whole. This is important because it presents a united front and ensures the efficiency of the organization. They may receive doubtful followers during the process but should not let that deter them from achieving their goal.
