Malden Mills could have taken a broader view of social responsibility and become an American leader toward global corporate social change. However, Feuerstein, and its other investors weren’t able to compete with no matter what ethical code they valued.In retrospect, Feuerstein's decision to rebuild Malden Mills and keep the staff on the payroll may not have been a good business decision. The declining market for Malden Mills materials made the company less desirable. In addition to Feuerstein’s over zealousness in increasing innovation faster than the company was growing, thus it fail to pay its debt; and leaving Malden Mills as a good case study for ethics and public relations.
