living at poverty. Poverty is when people have really low income and they fail to meet the  federal establishments for their household. These people can even work really hard outside all  day and with their income they are not making enough to meet the guidelines which makes them  live in poverty.  Increasing trust in these populations would be very hard because some do not want to  work while others are working but not making enough money to provide for their families. When they are seen in the health care office and they only see a health care provider speaking English it is hard for them to have trust in her and be able to speak to her they would prefer someone that  spoke Spanish. Having translators in hospitals is something that is much needed everywhere to  provide a safe warm feeling for their patients. As a health care professional, I feel that is it our  job to help these people out and increase trust in these populations. These people need help  getting insurance and also help finding jobs that provide insurance.  The people without jobs  need to find a job so Medicaid is able to help others and not just the ones that are not working  because they are basically getting health care for free. If those people would start working I think there would be enough money for the government to give to others that are working but still have a low income and also be able to lower the income wage in order to qualify to get insurance.  Having trust with the patients allows them to feel comfortable with the health care provider.  Without having their trust, you may not be able to get all of the information that you need out of  them to be able to give them the help that they need. Understating where they came from is very  important and that is key to gaining their trust.

Helping reduce the disparities and achieving other goals in the health care is very  important to the health care system. “Cultural competence is defined as the ability of providers

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
