the focus driver came first and exhibits my ability to prioritize and keep my goals in theforefront of everything that I do. Furthermore, to connect with key stakeholders in my desired profession, I have used LinkedIn to promote my education, skills, and experiences. My connections on LinkedIn, who work in and outside my organization, have a quick glimpse of my profile, which illustrates a drive for continued education and goals of meeting my ambition. Organizations also have an active presence on LinkedIn, to connect with others and recruit prospective employees. Realistically, I hope to become a CEO in ten to fifteen years. This timeframe allows me sufficient time to complete my DBA while gaining hands on experience within an organization. It also the necessary exposure to illustrate my dedication and skill sets to our leadership team. Goal 2: Motivational SpeakerA motivational speaker can share relatable stories and powerful experiences that can generate positive change in the audience’s perspective (“Stories have the power to connect us”, 2018). I faced many challenges during my elementary years with bullying and struggled with trying to make ends meet. Throughout my life, I had the pleasure of listening to motivational speakers who have inspired me to be where I am today. Goal 2 NarrativeMy goal of motivational speaking is to help students, families, and people realize their potential and overcome challenges when they are faced with adversity. My motivation comes from my self-fulling prophecy to give back to my community. In the past, I had the opportunity to listen to multiple motivational speakers who gave me hope and strength to accomplish my 4

goals. Their stories captivated my attention and were truly inspiring. Since motivationalspeakers gave me encouragement and hope, I wanted to do the same for others. To accomplish my goal of motivational speaking, I plan on relying on my personal learning network (PLN). The use of technology and social media are beneficial resources to promote my desire in motivational speaking. As I expand my PLN on social media sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Walden’s Residency program, it will provide me exposure to different people from various backgrounds. My PLN will be aware of my goals and may have connectionswho can help provide a platform to speak. I can also utilize social media platforms to blog, post videos and share experiences that benefit others. Social media sites, such as LinkedIn and Twitter, allow you to speak to other users and followers through messaging, tweets, blogs, or posts (Grantham, 2012).
