Based on this there has been an increased focus regarding the ethical conduct demonstrated by healthcare providers and patient perception having a direct result on the reimbursement that an organization receives. Utilizing evidence-based care with a collaborative approach to improve quality, safe, and efficient care to patients is not only the right thing to do ethically it will also ensure that organizations are providing the best possible outcomes to patients therefore receiving the best possible reimbursement for services. Ethical Business Practice Ethical business practice is built on values, norms, and a framework that supports moral attitude and integrity. Building a culture of this nature ensures high quality care demonstrating good decision-making skills with a priority of creating an environment that aligns the patient with our organization’s values, missions, and goals that impact clinical practice with positive patient outcomes that is both evidence-based and places the patient’s values and desires first and foremost in the center of care. Creating an ethical business practice comprises major changes in attitudes that diminishes silence by encouraging the voice of stakeholders, includes collaboration between interdisciplinary teams rather than a hierarchy, and equal treatment to all patients (Rushton, 2016). The organization that I work for prides themselves in operating with high standards both ethically and morally keeping our patients in the forefront and center of the decision tree. Ethical clinical and ethical business practice will be introduced strategically in the plan by applying what we know to be morally and ethically appropriate including: Maintaining patient confidentiality; sharing information with healthcare providers, patients, or family only with individuals involved in the care of the patient and with the highest level of respect and protection. Avoiding situations that deviate from the standard of care and evidence-based practice
