You should have a general knowledge of all the course material for the Exam. Don't forget defences and remedies - especially who can apply to the court for what remedies! Note that you will NOT be examined on the Sep 2017 amendments to the Corporations Act dealing with safe harbour for directors engaged in insolvent trading. This is an open book exam, which means you are permitted to carry any notes and textbooks into the exam room. However, the time allocated in the exam is only enough for reading and analysing the question, and writing an answer. There is no time allocated for "looking up" material - so you should be very familiar with your material before you go into the exam. No electronic devices are allowed, including calculators. You may wish to bring: A copy of the prescribed text ( sixth edition) , and a copy of the prescribed legislation ie the Corporations Law ( 2017 or 2018 edition ), and the latest version of other relevant legislation, such as the Partnership Act NSW; A dictionary Copies of the other prescribed material (download from Moodle links); A copy of your lecture notes and slides; Your worked answers to the seminar questions ( all of them, not just the ones completed in class ), past papers and self-review questions.
