The Boston Massacre was a street fight that occurred on
March 5, 1770, between a "patriot" mob, throwing
snowballs, stones, and sticks, and a squad of British
soldiers. Several colonists were killed and this led to a
campaign by speech-writers to rouse the ire of the

After killing 5 civilians and injuring 6 others the town people got
angry which filled the fire to help start the Revolutionary War.
The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of
America, When in the Course of human events, it
becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political
bands which have connected them with another, and to
assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and
equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's
God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of
mankind requires that they should declare the causes
which impel them to the separation (Archives.gov, 2014).
