Citrix Education –Virtualization Practicum Citrix Confidential –Do Not Distribute 8 User Group –Operations The Operations user group contains Executives and Human Resources personnel who prefer a basic Windows user experience. These Operations users will be performing light analysis of overall business direction and the handling of Human Resource functions within the organization. Requirements Descriptions Environment Access The Operations users will be using their own personal laptops to access the environment. Certain Operations personnel will be using their MacBook Computers and expect to have a basic Windows experience to perform their light workloads. Some Operations users may not have Citrix Receiver locally installed on their personal devices. Resources Allocated applications: •Access 2013, Acrobat Reader DC, Calculator, Excel 2013, Google Chrome, InfoPath Designer 2013, Mozilla Firefox, OneNote 2013, paintnet, Picasa 3, PowerPoint 2013, Publisher 2013, Word 2013 These users should be automatically subscribed to the following applications: •Excel 2013, PowerPoint 2013, Word 2013 The following applications should be restricted to a single server within the delivery group: •InfoPath Designer 2013 Allocated desktops: •Windows 10 Desktop Personalization Can modify user-level settings of desktops and applications. Security No Clipboard redirection allowed. No USB redirection allowed. Session idle timer should be set to 60 minutes. User Experience Entering the domain name should not be required at logon. Application launch time should be minimized. Session should relaunch shortly after closing an application. Only local printer should be available during these users’ sessions. These Support users will be handling ticket support through the use of basic applications. Requirements Descriptions Environment Access The Support users will be leveraging corporate-owned workstations on the internal network. (simulated with the virtual machine NYC-WRK-001) Resources Allocated applications: •Acrobat Reader DC, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox These users should be automatically subscribed to the following applications: •Acrobat Reader DC, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox Personalization Cannot modify any desktop or application settings. All user changes, including profile changes, should not persist between sessions.
