Complete trust and confidence in a higher power and his ways is what religions are substituted off, Benjamin Disraeli supports this concept as well when stating “Where knowledge ends, religion begins”. Patently, high religious values and spiritual awareness is independent of sufficient knowledge or analytical recognition of religious scriptures. From a personal experience, I could attest to the notion that when I prayed and practiced my religion with little knowledge and questioning, my faith seemed to be stronger and I was more confident in power of my prayers. When I prayed for safety of a family member as they were travelling and they did reach safely, I would automatically associate this result as prayers being answered by God. Eventually coming across a book called “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne, I was lost in skepticism of all that I had believed in. The book highlighted the theory of law of attraction and how anything we put into the universe verbally and hope for it, we will achieve it. This idea seemed to contradict “God answering my prayers”, so maybe the positive thinking of my brother reaching home safely is what was achieved as the universe attracted it. As expected my faith and

belief in higher power had been shaken and were certainly less clouded when I wasn’t familiarized with new knowledge of law of attraction. Thus, in the area of knowledge of religious knowledge systems, faith as a way of knowing supports the idea that when we know less we are more confident, we have less things to question and find answers for, we simply put reasoning aside as faith requires us to. Knowing little does not equate to being confident in a religious path for everyone. Many people consider God to fall under binary thinking, meaning you either believe in Him or you don’t. However, for many others converting to atheism was a logical choice while growing up, simply because lack of trusted knowledge in this area and lack of evidence of God did not increase their confidence or make their faith stronger. The use of language plays an important role in this issue. A common misinterpretation of language in Islam comes about when people take language in the context of 8 th century and apply it today. For example, the word jihad meant “holy war against enemies” but is supposed to be considered as the battle against evil within oneself today. Taking this kind of perilous word has given people the opportunity to engage in terrorism in the name of jihad. Lack of explanations and understandable language in religion therefore creates a deeper hollow for individuals to understand or rely on religious beliefs. This however also means that
