Agency failed to assess was the water system in Flint, Michigan. The organization failed to assess public health principles concerning water sources and infrastructure. The Flint water crisis was a reminder that the departments in charge of water resources needs to maintain evaluation of the risks accompanied with changing a water source. Waters such as metropolitan water systems are premeditated to deliver safe potable water.

Mariam Oppong Nuamah 10/11/2018 GCH 300-004 Nonetheless, the departments in charge of protecting the water systems has spent billions of dollars protecting residents against attacks terrorists and has removed pollutants from raw water before the water push it through the system for the public to use. Doing so, it later became known that the potable water is unable to get along with the water distribution system and is even a worse hazard than intentional contamination and water pollution. Water system crisis such as the crisis in Flint, Michigan however became an evidence that the infrastructure was seriously deteriorating. There are about more than one hundred and fifty thousand public water systems in the United States distributing about eighty-five percent of the freshwater supply, reconsidering what institutes critical infrastructure, which requires a foremost knowledgeable adjustment and economic challenge. Monitoring the status of water sources is not the only thing that needs to be taken in to consideration, but also the transportation, management, storage, and other system fundamentals that encourages the number and excellence of water. Even though there’s going to be a time where budgeting is going to be very tight, conclusions need to be made about what needs to be improved with the major objective of defending human health and safety, not other urgencies associated to water sources.
