When configuring ESRS, users are presented with two options: •Integrated:This is the Dell EMC recommended and default method for configuring ESRS. Integrated provides two-way outbound and inbound connectivity to the storage system for problem notification and resolution. Integrated ESRS runs on the storage system and does not require a stand alone gateway server. •Centralized ESRS:This configuration requires the network address of the ESRS Gateway server used to connect to the Dell EMC enterprise and ensures that port 9443 is open between the Gateway server and the storage system. It is recommended that users perform a readiness check prior to configuring ESRS. The check verifies the system’s network connectivity to configure ESRS. Users receive a Warningand/or Errorif there are issues. If a user does not specify valid Dell EMC Support Credentials the Readiness Check can still proceed. Always test connectivity after configuring ESRS.
