The theology behind this is that it wasn’t cut and clear. Jesus originally died because of his religion. It wasn’t originally that he was dying for our sins but Jesus’ death benefit all of mankind and that was God’s plan the entire time. Jesus’ death relived the pain of the world and removed suffering. Self-sacrifice is hard but with the strength of Jesus father, God and the fact that he was predestined for this made his loving sacrifice possible.Jesus even predicted his own death and knew he would die by crucifixion, he predicted this many times and his disciples had a hard time accepting this. Mary Magdalene was the only who accepted his fate in the beginning. Jesus had predicted that “the son of man” was going to betray him.Before Jesus was crucified the disciples discussed the importance of Jesus death before he dies. They were also there for him and supported him. Mary was also with him and she had anointed him, and also anointed his feet and wiped them with her hair. Mary had accepted the prophecies of Jesus death before the disciples did, she helped him prepare for it. This week before his death is when the last supper occurs. During the last supper this would have been Jesus last Passover, the twelve disciples were present and this is when Jesus took the ceremonial bread and after prayer broke it, giving pieces to the disciples with the instructions, “Take, eat; this is my body.” Following this, He also took the cup, and, again giving thanks, He gave the cupto them saying, “Drink ye all of it.” He then explained the ceremony in
