I agree with you the use might not be doing the right testing based upon the will let
things slide by I don't understand how they let the Chinese import things over here than
turn around and tell the people the product they use it harmful I don't understand why
they let the product come over in the first place.

Hello LauraMarie I enjoyed reading your discussion post. It sounds like to me you are holding
both parties legally responsible for the error here and I felt the same way. It is up to the U.S.
companies to make sure what they are bring in from foreign countries is safe for people to use
and I do agree with you that there should be consequences for the foreign company as well. I
liked your solutions that you came up with as I too believe that they should have their own
testing team when it comes to ordering stuff from overseas. However some companies may not
want to or may not be able to afford such an option which is scary to think about in my opinion.
Good post and best of luck to you on this week’s assignment!
Movies of the Week Prof Picks!

The Week 2 Discussion includes the consideration of criminal liability for certain
corporate wrongdoing. When it comes to criminal law, there are countless choices for
movie night. For Week 2, I recommend that you consider choosing from one of the
following three films:
| “An ethical Baltimore defense lawyer disgusted with rampant
legal corruption is asked to defend a judge he despises in a rape trial. But if he
doesn't do it, the judge will have him disbarred.”
| “A nun, while comforting a convicted killer on death row,
empathizes with both the killer and his victim's families.”
| “An attorney intent on climbing the career ladder toward success, finds an
unlikely opponent in a manipulative criminal he's trying to prosecute.”
