inconvenience a large crowd. From previous experience my previous college would update the “MyHCC” site late at night from like 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. when students were not as likely to use the site. The school needed to do updates so they wanted to obviously not do it during the middle of the day when people were using the site the most. Giving prior notifications was nice so students could work around the time frame. In other cases, shutting down is not possible. If Amazon’s AIS application was down they would be losing a lot of money. JungleScout, an Amazon inform decisions website, listed Amazon’s earns. Using the time frame from above, if Amazon was shut down, for technical updates for four hours they could lose a whopping $106.4 million. Amazon is not going to shut their application down for updates if that means losing over $100 million. Having AIS applications in place are making businesses millions and billions of dollars. The service world today is different than it was decades ago. People use to only be able to go into school to register for classes, which limited registration times to business hours. The same goes for buying items. Allowing buyer/user and company interaction time from 8-4 or 10-8 (examples) limits productivity. Even if the availability was at 80%, instead of 99.9%, there is lose in productivity. Now that so much can be done online the buyers/ users are happier because they can register for classes or buy Christmas gifts online at whatever time they find fitting. Even though businesses are working harder; they are producing a profit from selling more items or gaining more tuition from more students register for classes. Working harder provides a greater profit! Hamrick, D. (2019, September 25). How Much Does Amazon Make in a Year? As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
