BSB115: Management Virtual Business Report Emad Mekhael Our company is unable to function effectively without the input of a cohesive workplace. Substantial levels of skilled female employees leaving can have a substantial impact on the company’s performance and stability, productivity, finances and morale. It also significantly affects the employee’s motivation, attitude and perceptions of their job (Dipboye, 1986). It has a potential detrimental effect on the internal culture as employees will need to work extensive hours in order to cover the work for their absent employees. Additionally, a high standard of productive quality is unable to be maintained without an organised and stable workforce. Therefore, it is our main priority that we respond to this issue with urgency. Leadership as a management function is critical for Limited Clothing’s success, as leader attributes and behaviours play a crucial role in shaping employee attitudes such as their job satisfaction and organisational commitment (Samson & Daft, 2012). As management in Limited Clothing it is our key role to ensure our employees are given equal opportunities to excel in their workplace. However, the lack of leadership has caused employees confusion of the disarray within the organisation, as the authority is not vested in female organisational positions which has led many women to seek other vocations. Organising is also a significant factor contributing to this issue. The main external environmental factors impacting the issue is the sociocultural factor including social networks and family roles; that serve an indirect impact on the general environment, rather than formal factors. These factors will negatively impact the business and may result in poor performances from the employees due to the gender barrier the management has created. Environmental uncertainty can result in difficulty acquiring good information and predicting external changes (Samson & Daft, 2012). Thus, it is important that Limited Clothing takes into consideration internal, as well as, external environmental factors when constructing its organisational structure. Page | 3
